What Is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy serves as an alternative or adjunct therapy to allopathic medicines and can

assist with many misalignments.

The first consultation generally involves taking an in-depth case history in a private and safe

setting, as well as a physical examination if appropriate.

Our practitioner will then correlate the information given in the session and may refer for

additional testing if needed. Testing comes with an additional cost and is usually not required,

only recommended in some cases.

After around 48 hours of your appointment, you will receive a treatment plan that outlines

short term and long-term treatment goals, reasons that lead to the decision of targeting these

goals, specific dietary suggestions, and a prescription, giving you access to some exclusive,

practitioner-only nutritional and herbal supplements in therapeutic doses. This plan may also

be accompanied by lifestyle suggestions, referrals, treatment notes, and a proposed follow up

involving the number of subsequent appointments recommended.

Naturopathic Physicians Practice

6 Fundamental Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

These foundational principles help achieve the best possible results for every individual based

on their physical and mental health conditions. We believe in selecting the most non-invasive

and least toxic treatment plans for each patient. And these principles allow us to do just that

by understanding and eliminating the root cause of any disease.

1. The Healing Power of Nature

Trust in the body’s inherent wisdom to heal itself.

2.Identify and Treat the Causes

Look beyond the symptoms to the underlying cause.

3. First Do No Harm
Utilise the most natural, least invasive and least toxic therapies.

4. Doctor as Teacher
Educate patients in the steps to achieving and maintaining health.

5. Treat the Whole Person
View the body as an integrated whole in all its physical and spiritual dimensions.

6. Prevention
Focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.

What Type of Things Can Naturopathy Assist With?

Naturopathic treatment can assist with a broad spectrum of concerns since it involves

considering physical and spiritual dimensions. Some examples of the problems that

Naturopathy can help with include:

  • Skin conditions

  • Food sensitivities

  • Auto-immune conditions

  • Chronic pain conditions

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • Insomnia

  • Vulva vaginal conditions such as candida and bacterial vaginosis

I take a special interest in stress, anxiety, mood disorders, adrenal fatigue, vulva-vaginal conditions and gut health

and am currently completing my Diploma of Counselling with the Australian Institute of

Professional Counsellors.
