We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, by using this website after, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. It is your responsibility to re-review this disclaimer regularly. 
The aim of the Discovering Balance is both to support and ensure that it complies with the Privacy Act 1988 ;The Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) is an Australian law which regulates the handling of personal information about individuals.


Discovering Balance is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information that we collect, hold and administer.

This includes a patients age, gender, address, signature and date of birth as well as anything discussed during private sessions such as reason for attending the clinic, family history, medical history or any other relevant information. Any information that will need to be discussed with a third party (neither the practitioner or the client) must be signed off in written agreement between the client and the practitioner. In the event a patient may be at risk of harming themselves or another, information may need to be passed on by law.

All Discovering Balance employees are required to treat client information and files with respect and great confidentiality at all times. Employees with access to confidential and private information including clients files are NOT to expose or share this information with anyone else, this includes family members of the patient without the patients formal consent. 


Hard copies of client files are to be stored away in filing cabinets and locked away securely at the end of every working day.
Each person is unique and responds differently to treatments.

You acknowledge that you are ultimately responsible for your health care and there are no guarantees of the success of the service provided.

SUBMITTING AN ORDER

  • By submitting an order for purchase of any product using the website you represent and warrant that:

 you have the legal capacity and are of sufficient age to enter into a binding contract with us; and  you are authorised to use the debit, credit card or selected payment method.​ 

 

PURCHASING

  • All of our prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and

  •  Subject to change prior to you completing an order without notice.

  • Unless prior written approval was given, you must pay for all products at the time of placing an order.

  • We may use third-party providers to take payments for products, such as PayPal and Square. The processing of payments by the Payment Provider will be, in addition to these terms, subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the Payment Provider and we are not liable for the security or performance of the Payment Provider. We reserve the right to correct, or to instruct our Payment Provider to correct, any errors or mistakes in collecting your payment.

 

VOUCHERS AND DISCOUNT CODES

 

  1. We may provide E-vouchers and discount codes offering a discount on products or services. In order to use a voucher, you will need to enter the allocated code at checkout.  

  2. A Voucher cannot be applied to an order after you have placed the order. Vouchers are non- transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash or store credit at any time, unless other wise specified. 

 

DELIVERY AND SHIPPING

 

  1. Free regular post with Australia Post applies to orders in Australia over $149.95AUD.

  2. For any cart amounts that do not qualify for free delivery, delivery costs will be added to the cart upon checkout. The prices displayed at checkout are inclusive of delivery to the address nominated by you.

  3. We use Australia Post for our deliveries. Any problems with delivery should be directed to us to troubleshoot the issue. We will endeavour to assist you to ensure your delivery arrives. All delivery times provided to you are estimates only and are subject to postal delays and reasons beyond our control. We do not warrant or make any representation that your order will be delivered within the times indicated. We will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of or in connection with late deliveries.

CANCELLATION OF PURCHASE

  1. We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and will notify you of this as soon as possible. Where payment has already been taken, the full amount will be credited back to your original method of payment.

  2.  You may cancel your order up to the time that you receive your confirmation email.

  3. If you require your nominated delivery address to be changed, please contact us as soon as possible, after placing your order and we will use reasonable endeavours to fulfil your request. 

 

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

We may offer change of mind returns for 30 days after your delivery. The following process applies to any change of mind returns:

  1. If you would like to return a Product for change of mind, you must contact us within 7 days of the date that the product was delivered to you and explain any concerns you have relating to the product. 

  2.  You will be notified by email, the outcome of this request.

  3. If we accept your return request, we may require you to send the product back to the return address at your expense, together with any proof of purchase, within 14 days of the request approval. 

  4. Once we receive the item in original condition and it has met the above requirements, you will be credited the full amount paid minus shipping costs and you may request a refund or store credit. All refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment unless you request otherwise and we approve this request. 

  5.  If we determine that you have not met the requirements above and the item was not returned in original condition, we may not offer a return, and will deliver it back to your nominated address. Shipping will be paid for by you.

 

ALLERGIC REACTIONS

We may offer you a refund if you have an allergic reaction to our Products. The following process applies to where you have had an allergic reaction:

  1. If you have had an allergic reaction to any of our products, you must immediately stop using the product and contact us at within 14 days of the delivery date, providing images and/or videos of the allergic reaction and any other information or material reasonably required by us. 

  2. We will notify you by return email of our return address. 

  3. If we accept your return in accordance with this clause, we will require you to send the product to the return address (at your cost), together with any proof of purchase or information reasonably required within 14 days of the delivery date.

  4. If we determine, in our discretion, that you have had an allergic reaction to our products you will be credited the full amount paid including shipping costs and you may request a refund or store credit. All refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment unless you request otherwise and we approve this request. 

  5.  If we determine that you have not had an allergic reaction, we may, at our discretion, not offer a return, and we will deliver it back to your nominated address at your cost.

 

DAMAGED PRODUCTS

We may offer you a refund where we determine that your Product has a manufacturing fault. 

  1. If you believe your Product has a manufacturing fault, you must contact us as soon as possible with a full description of the fault, including images and/or videos, the order number and the batch number which can be found on each item.

  2. If we determine that your product has a manufacturing fault, we will request that you send the product back to us at your cost for further inspection, including any original packaging.We reserve the right to further inspection before deeming a product defective.

  3. If we determine in our reasonable opinion that the product does not contain a manufacturing fault, or is defective due to it exceeding its use-by date, fair wear and tear, misuse, failure to properly maintain or store the product, failure to use in accordance with our or the manufacturer’s instructions, or failure to take reasonable care, we will refuse your return and send the product back to you at your cost.

  4. If we determine that the product does in fact contain a manufacturing fault, you will be credited the full amount paid including shipping costs and you may request a refund, exchange or store credit. All refunds will be credited back to your original method of payment. 

CONSULTATION BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATION POLICY 

1. Booking can be made as far in advance as possible and are always prepaid unless prior arrangement has been made with both the practitioner and patient. 24 hours prior a reminder will be sent via email.

2. 24 hour cancellation policy applies, unless in the event of emergency. You can cancel via replying to the reminder email, calling your practitioner or sending SMS.

3. Failure to give 24 hours notice of cancellation will result in 100% of the fee forfeited and no refund / exchange or credit will be given to the patient.

4. No show on appointment times will result in 100% of the consultation fee forfeited and no refund / exchange or credit will be given to the patient.

BECOMING A SITE MEMBER AND GAINING ACCESS TO PRACTITIONER PRODUCTS

You acknowledge and agree that you will be honest regarding any current or upcoming medications you have been prescribed and thereby, when agreeing to terms and conditions you are responsible for your own health and health outcomes. Natural medicine can interact with a number of medications, and it is important to update us of any changes to medications or upcoming surgery in writing so that we can update your file for safe approval of purchases.
