Acute and Chronic Stress

Stress is our body’s response to a demand placed on it, which can be mental or physical. Stress is commonly confused with anxiety, but stress is not a diagnosable mental illness. Chronic stress is a prolonged and constant feeling of stress that can negatively affect your health if it goes untreated.

Anxiety and Mood Disorders

Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. Anxiety is a feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come.

But, if your feelings of anxiety are excessive, last for longer than six months, and are interfering with your day to day life, you may have an anxiety disorder.

Exhaustion and Adrenal Fatigue

Adrenal fatigue is thought to occur when the adrenals have become overtaxed by excess cortisol release and can no longer function optimally. The term is commonly used to describe a collection of symptoms, such as fatigue, body aches, nervousness, low blood pressure, sleep disturbances, digestive issues, craving salt and sugar.
